Even So, It Becomes an Image Kaiko Aikawa

Figure is one of the principal themes in painting. Aikawa has consistently painted figurative works, but the expression is not descriptive in the manner of classical portraiture — rather, it is an abstract expression that prioritises imagery, conveying the impressions the artist herself has seen or imagined in her subjects.
